I can't see the purpose on a bandsaw fence as BS accuracy is not repeatable down to .001" or anywhere close.
I can't see applying it to a router fence unless it was a rack and pinion single adjustment deal like the Incra, but then if you have an Incra you have the repeatability built in. Since RT fence adjusts from two sides versus a single point I don't see how this gauge could really be applied.
Going a bit further, and to answer your question, no I don't think you could move it from TS fence to a different BS fence to a different RT fence without quite a bit of modification. The gauge is physically attached to the TS fence with screws. You could find a way to work around that with a quick detach type set up, but then you would have to zero out the gauge against the cutting surface of whatever machine you attached it to. Seems like a lot of work for something that would serve little point (that I can see).Comment

The flyer I originally saw this in says the prices are valid starting on 12/1. Maybe someone at Woodcraft just jumped the gun on the $99.99 price and they switched it back when they realized they mistake? Hope that's the case because I told the wife this was a must buy for a Christmas present.Comment

I agree, but, don't think 0.001" accuracy is required on a TS either. I think the other features like zeroing to the right side of the blade or dado set on a left tilt saw and absolute/incremental measurement modes are very useful....let you know after I try mine out

Mine came yesterday, but can't play with it yet as it's a Christmas present from my wife. At least that's what I told her after I jumped on it when I saw the post. Now I have to wait a month. Just like a little kid again, waiting excitedly for Christmas to come!!!Joe

got mine installed today on my ridgid and everything went pretty well. What I did do was put the track for the wixey on top of the brackets so it ends up much closer to the beis's rail. Looks much nicer then having it hang way down away from it. Just have to remember that the sensor strips have to be put on the correct way. So on mine, I put the whole thing together to make sure it would work that way, then put the sensor strips on last.
I stole these pics from http://smilesrus.com/wixey/ so I take no credit. They show having the track below the bracket in the first pic, and above in the second. I put mine above, but without the two nuts between the bracket and track. Worked very well with the beis fence.
If you put track below brackets, you have a big ugly gap

If you put track above brackets, (remember, don't stick on the sensor strips until you make sure it is going to work this way)

Just be careful when tightening the bolts holding track to brackets. The heads snap off very easily. In this pic these bolts are gold, different from what you actually get.

I just went out and installed mine. Man those "self threading" screws SUCK! I am ok with where it hangs. I reversed the bracket which shortened the height just a little. Definately doesnt seem to hang as much as the SawStop photo. Barry (Wixey) should have that manual republished.Comment

Thanks for the idea, I went and bought some long T bolts to use to install it this way. However once I got home and clamped the track in place I did not use them. Instead of using the "Z" bracket, I used the mounting bolts for the "Z" brackets (the self tapping bolts) and washer to drill right through the aluminum channel and guide rail. Did not have to take the guide rail off, of course working in this position was not the best, but it was pretty easy. The end result is the same as the example posted by tsbrewers. Please note the track must be in the final location for this as there is no adjustment.

i have the 22124 saw which only has 30" ripping capacity, so i was wondering if i could just use one of the extrusions and be done with it.
would that be right? i guess i should get the strip properly placed at the end just in case i want to be able to join them in the future.
btw, should i be picky in trying to get the strip starting from the end of the extrusion? or is it okay to have some gap in between the strips on the two extensions as long as gauge is used to space them. (hope i am making sense!)

If you follow the instructions for applying the Strips to the aluminum extrusions, for the first strip it tells you to line up the edge of the strip with the center seam of the two extrusions. Two apply the second strip you must use the caliboration piece that is supplied. If I where going to only install one extrusion I would install the strip according to the instructions, so in the future it could be expanded if needed. If you center the strip you can not add the second strip later without removind the first strip.
