    forrest blade only $36.29

i don't know what the difference is between this "solid surface planer" blade and a regular wood working blade is but for less than 37 bucks i'm going to find out.

can't figure out how to post a link but if you search forrest blades at amazon you'll find it.

Solid surface, as in countertops like Corian.

I couldn't resist and ordered one too. It is a full kerf blade with ATB 20* hook teeth like the WWII has.

$36.29 using the BLDPROMO discount code. I guess a guy could use the 20% accessory code too and get it for less than $30

Good price...no clue how well it'll cut wood.

i studied the specs on forrest's site and it doesn't look much different than the wood cutting blades except it has the raker, afaik.

it's supposed to be here tuesday- i'll post after i've had a chance to
          make some cuts.

I'm surprised at how little their website tells you about the specs of each blade...unless I missed some .pdf links, there's very little info. It does mentioned something about the "specially engineered clearances", which I'd take as meaning the side clearance.

Let us know how you make out.

I just hope it was a thin kerf blade, it is better for my BT3100.

                It is a 1/8" kerf.

Should work great in your miter saw for cutting all that PVC ducting for your dust collection system. Jim.

Gone! Put one in my cart earlier to finalize tonight, but they either ran out or removed them.

got my blade today and made some cuts- wow!

first cut in melamine- top was very, very clean with no visible chipping. bottom was not as clean but not bad.

cut #2 in some alder- top was again, very, very clean, bottom was better than the melamine. edge cut feels like silk- amazing to me.

cut #3 plywood- i can't imagine a better cut. no splintering on top or bottom, and the cut edge, again, feels like silk. also, the blade seems like it's cutting smoother with each cut.

i've used app. 10 new blades in my 2 years of woodworking, including freud, dewalt, shumacher & sons, and leitz blades and even after just a few cuts i can say without a doubt- this is the best blade i've ever had. it replaces a 40 tooth thin kerf leitz blade and i can't feel any difference in feed rate.

I just installed my blade this morning. No chipping in plywood and a very clean cut.

                        Nice bargain. Thanks OP.
