Too bad this deal didn't work with the Hitachi 15 ga nailer - even without the Forstner bits, it'd have been a nice deal.

Hats off to you for putting it together for us.

        Masterfully done!

I agree with the others, well done!
You actually had me rationalizing taking advantage of of this for a full 10 minutes before sanity returned and I admitted that I can't justify spending $150 on tools I already have (but cost a lot more)!

I just tried this combination and it will not apply the -$30.17 for the bits. I still put in the order for this whole set, and I just emailed Customer Service to make the adjustment. Does this mean that my entire order will probably get cancelled? In reality, I only need the Drill Press, but I am hoping to sell all the extras on craigslist to make some money back - maybe free drill press?

I pressed the "Buy it together" on Amazon, but when I tried applying "FORSTNER" it didn't seem to work.

              Here is the break down:
              Subtotal of Items: $313.12
              Shipping & Handling: $46.71
              Super Saver Discount -$46.71
              Promotion Applied -$6.03
              Promotion Applied -$75.00
              Promotion Applied -$50.00
              ------
              Total for this Order: $182.09

And I just got an email from Amazon that states:

Thank you for writing to us at Amazon.com.

Please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience you may have experienced and allow me to explain.

I have investigated your order and can assure you that $30.17 of promotional funds were applied to this order.

Please note that the total order cost will be $313.12. However, you will charge only for $182.09. Therefore, the promotions has already applied for this order. I apologize for any inconvenience caused.

I'm sorry if this distribution of charges was not accurately displayed in Your Account.

This is after I sent them the following:

The main page for Hitachi B13F 10 inch Drill Press, Benchtop with Laser it states:
"Purchase this drill press and we'll give you a Freud FB-104 4 bit
assortment for free. Add both items to your cart. The price of the
bits will be deducted on the final checkout page. Enter code
              FORSTNER at checkout."

My order does not show an adjustment of -$30.17.

Any suggestions? Can someone try the codes and see if you get the same price?

So, now even without the bits (the price isn't included) and even if they end up being free, I'll end up paying even more than previous estimates.

                My options here are:
                1. Cancel everything except for the drill press - does that mean that I can get it for the $56.16?
                2. Talk to customer service and have them make an adjustment?

some moron in another country is responding to you. call the customer service number, as you obviously are not being credited for the forstner set.

I did call. The lady was kind of rude, and it was hard to explain to her, because some of those promotions are not available since some tools are sold out at Amazon. But in the end, I was able to convince her and she stated that she will make issue a credit to bring it down to $151.92. Thanks!!!

My drill press has already shipped! The rest of the order is still in fulfillment. I'm so tempted to cancel everything else and keep the drill press at $56.16. But knowing how these stores work, they will figure this out much faster than issuing the necessary credit.

The $75 promotion was for tool purchases over $300?

Cheeky Pete, can you explain what the $75 promo is coming from? Is there in fact a refund for buying X$ worth of Hitachi?
                      Never met a bargain I didn't like.

I bought some Hitachi tools lately, do you know what tools qualified and perhaps the dates?

Promo was posted for DP, BS, sander, blades, nailers, accessories, but it was not for all Hitachi items.
Regarding nailers; the promo would show up and disappear almost daily.

For dates; try a search here using 'Hitachi', most deals will show up.
Lasted about 5? days. Ended 2 days ago. HTH

BTW, Zon CS is very poor lately, actually; too frustrating to deal with. Times are changing. At least that's my experience.
