I'm trying to pick one of these up. I called my store. They are supposed to have one 134819 left but by phone the tool guy could only find the one in your web link 138336. Do you happen to know the difference between the 134819 and 138336?
Thanks,

Is it advisable to use HVLP sprayer with an oil-lubed compressor? Could it smear oil into the finish? I'm considering the Wagner HVLP gun from gleempaint.com and have been looking for the right compressor. This one is very tempting.Comment

Not a great idea... Plus, this thing is not very portable, and would need an extension cord the size of your arm.Comment

It would be a perfect compressor for that. Don't need an extension cord, just a hose from where you have the compressor sitting. I have a larger compressor in my shop and air lines plumbed in with hose reels in a few spots. I love it.
You should have a descent filter/regulator/oil and water separator for spraying nice finishes anyway. Or you can get by with a regulator and the small disposable filters that hook on to the gun for water/oil.

Thanks Brew,
I went to Lowes looking for this compressor. I only found the 3.7hp 60g KLA3706056 compressor still marked for $399, which would be a good deal for $249 as well.
The manager there said the same thing you did that moisture was the biggest problem, not oil and that a good filter would take care of contaminating the finish.
