    Does anyone know where I can I get a good deal on a planer.

          Harbor Freight Planer

          I bought a 6-inch planer from HF several years ago. I found it to be a good deal. Cast iron. Decent quality.

                  Check your local HD and see if they have one of the old Ryobi 1300 planers with the cutter head lock. They've been touted as very decent units with great value at $199. I know my local HD had one a week or so ago.

                  If not, scour craigslist and the tool swap and sell over on woodnet.
