DeWalt 5" hook & loop sanding discs $1.90 for 5 (Amazon)

This price has gone down several times and is now $1.90 for a 5-pack of the hook-&-loop sanding discs for RO sanders.

Not sure how the DeWalt quality is, but I gotta assume it's better than most of the no-name cheap sanding discs out there.

Where's the bargain? You can find 50 paks all day long for under $15 and even cheaper than that at Klingspor's.

That assumes: a) same quality sandpaper (?); and b) you live near a Klingspor's -- I've never heard of it. At HD and Lowe's, it's much more expensive.

BJ. here is a link to Klingspor's, http://www.woodworkingshop.com/ The quality of their sandpaper is second to none. Check it out and you'll see that you're spending way to much if you're buying your sandpaper at the big box stores.

Sandpaper is a segment of our hobby that is well served by quite a few high quality vendors. Klingspor is one of those vendors, though not the least in price and not the best in quality, they are above average in both.

I believe the value of the DeWalt 220g (5) for $2 was/is that some folks may not want or need 50 sheets of 220g paper.

I can't remember where I read it, but I believe one of the woodworking magazines rated Klingspor as the best value sandpaper in terms of how long it lasts vs. price.
