No thanks! I like the Jessem/Milwaukee combo for $283. Now if I had to buy it at $600 list price that would be a different story.

        Uupdate from the Jungle

Received email from Amazon that the estimated ship date is 11/28 which until now was shown as 11/13. I ordered a new Jessem Lift from guy on ebay for $205 and hope the order from Amazon doesn't get cancelled.

Product link is dead. Looked it up via my order and it says:

Availability: Currently unavailable. We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock.

Sooooo MBG how much did your set up cost? I can source the switch but not the VS unit (or did you take it out of the Milwaukee)? Be prepared for onslought of questions.

Jeff, didn't you get hosed on the Jet JTAS deal the same way? I think Amazon owes you a sympathy tool!

Ehhh. I hose them pretty regularly as well. All if fair in love and war.

                  - once I found out a replacement speed control unit was around $35 I decided to dig in. The mod isn't for the weak-at-heart. You need to carefully did out the pot material to get at the potentiometer contacts (the drawing on the Milwaukee web site helped show where the connections were). It's easy from there.

                    Still hanging in there

Amazon emailed today saying new anticipated date for shipping is in February. I ordered this in September and purchased a Jessem lift to go with this phantom unit. I still am hoping, but realize this may be futile.

I seriously doubt this will happen and have already started looking out for deals for regular 5625 or PC 7518. If you note, the product has been removed from the Amazon sites regular search function. If you bring the item up by clicking through the link on your order page the page says it is not in stock and unknown if it will ever be in stock. I think they were clearing these things out and over sold them.

I am surprised that Amazon just doesn't cancel order after two new ship date estimates.

We are sorry to report that we will not be able to obtain the following item(s) from your order:

I hear you -good question on B&D screwdriver- I have one to find a home for too!
Now, I passed up the free shipping and discounts for Rockler to get switch for router table.
                            Would have been sweet.

Woodcraft has some on/off switches with free shipping. Of course there is no way to get external VS without a major mod.

Well, I made 5 orders to put together the entire Jessem setup and got everything but the fence. I wish it was everything but the stand - I could have rigged up a new stand - but there's no reason to have gone this far with the Jessem setup and not get the fence - so I'll have to pay retail for that sucker...

Not complaining though - I realize the motor unit was the cream of the crop of deals - glad to have had it come through.
