Bench Dog 40-031 CI Table (or lift)- Amazon $185 with promos!!!

It's baaaack!! This is an incredible deal. I know Jeff got something similar a while back and I've been keeping an eye on these for a while. Amazon is running both the 20% off with qualifying power tool PLUS another 25% off with promo code and FREE shipping!

So...I just ordered: the Bench Dog cast iron extension router table AND the Prolift Max router lift. You add a cheap power tool (I found the Dremel engraver 290-01 for $15.86 - GMC sander was $24+ this time), and apply the "BIT20OFF" code through checkout, and here is how each deal came out:

Bench Dog 40-031 ProMax Cast Iron Router Table Extension
    Item(s) Subtotal: $324.85
    Shipping & Handling: $40.78
    Super Saver Discount: $-40.78
    Shipping Savings: $0.00
    20% Off Accessories: $-61.80
    Promotional Certificate: $-77.25
    -----
    Total Before Tax: $185.80
    Estimated Tax: $0.00
    -----
    Grand Total: $185.80

Bench Dog 40-016 ProLift Max Router Top-Adjustment System
    Item(s) Subtotal: $341.31
    Shipping & Handling: $21.90
    Super Saver Discount: $-21.90
    Shipping Savings: $0.00
    20% Off Accessories: $-65.09
    Promotional Certificate: $-81.36
    -----
    Total Before Tax: $194.86
    Estimated Tax: $0.00
    -----
    Grand Total: $194.86

Now I just need a great deal on the PC Speedmatic 7518...I don't think my M12V2 is going to work too well in it....

    Good luck!

OOh good fine. Cheapsest one I found was the GMC mouse sander for $24.

I just ordered a similar combo but opted for the Mast-R-Lift. I've heard good things about both lifts but the Jessem is about $75 cheaper. The only one that seems to be significantly better is Woodpecker's Quick-Lift which Amazon doesn't carry.

Why did you go with 2 separate orders though?

Would this work well as a first router table for bt3100 owner?

Two seperate order just because you usuallu can't apply the discounts to multiple products on a single order....didn't try it, but thats how it usually works.

Pak - this is more for bolting on to a larger cabinet saw - I don't think you'd find an easy way to make it work with the BT3100

Newbie Q who knows very little about TS's and even less about Routers.

I recently purchased a Craftsman 22114, Biesemeyer Fence, and Bosch 1617 Router (craftsman version).

What do I need to hook up this router under the Biesemeyer table extension at the end of my TS?
                    A lift, insert plate, etc?
What if there is no tomorrow?....there wasn't one today!

Newbe Q # 2. I don't know anything about lifts. I ordered the Bench Dog router table top, and a M2V2 that I just received yesterday. I was hoping to use the M2V2 as a dedicated table router. Why won't this lift work with the M2V2?

                      Thanks.

                        Do you mean M12v2?

Look at the router. Look at the lift. See?

Never mind. Went to the bench dog site and looked at the manual and it says it doesn't work with plunge routers.

What do you need to mount router under Biesemeyer table? About $1 worth of screws and drill a hole through the table for the bit opening.

Or you could route an area out and put in a plate.

Or you could route an area out and put in a lift (which includes plate).

IMHO BD CI lift is too heavy for the Biesemeyer table unless you put a lot of support in it. Those Bies tables arent the flattest things in the world to begin with.

You have a ton of options. Now how are you gonna connect a fence?

Personally, I think you have two options. One - you are a confessed newbie make it simple and cheap as you will out grow it. Or Two - buy the BD CI table and BD CI lift and be done with it.

The table and lift probably weigh more than an entire BT3. You should build a free standing stand for the table.
