Has anyone heard anything about the new DCMS? I saw it in the store other day, but wondered if it was worth the $370 they were asking for it.

Yea, if I could save $100 I'd seriously consider getting either the planer or the jointer.

              UK2TX2CA,

Where did you learn about the link to the Ridgid promotion on the Home Depot gift card? I don't recall seeing anything in the store. I think I had a 10% off coupon that expired last month. With the 10% & 50.00 gift card that may have put me at an acceptable price.

Unfortunately the 10% coupon has expired & don't think I'll be in a position to pull the trigger before next week. I'll have to look for new Ridgid promotions.

                Hello CManinLa,

You are right, there is no mention of it in-store, the first I heard of it was when I went to register the product.

It doesn't appear to be advertised at all. I registered both my new thickness planer and the laminate trimmer today and noticed that in my E-Box, their was a "2" in the current offers column for all the tools that I have registered.

The "Gift Card" promotion is basically the same as the "Jeep Sweeps" thank you promotion (E-Mailed to everyone who entered the Jeep Sweeps contest). The only difference is that they "Jeep Sweeps" promotion was for tools purchased between July 28th and Sept 30th, while the newly posted promotion is for tools purchased between July 1st and Sept 30th!\

BTW, the other promotion that is posted is for a free 18 volt impact driver if you purchase a certain cordless combo kit. (I don't recall the exact details of that, so check your "E-Box" on the Ridgid site.)

Cman, let me see if I can get a good copy of the coupon I have, If so its yours, the new planer -100.00 in discounts is a great deal, almost need I say a Gloat. I drool over it daily since he set it up. I keep telling my wife, a no Auburn fan, that Orange looks oh so good in my shop. Was holding out on the new Jet Mini Lathe and an air compressor but the new Planer has taken the cake. Found out it uses the same blades as the old model, just 1 more

                      MoonPie,

That would be wonderful. If the planer only came in Purple & Gold it would be heavenly.

No, not Mardi Gras. That would be purple, green & gold. Tulane got the green & LSU got the purple & gold. So I would be going the LSU route.......
