The SD508 has twice the number of teeth on the cutters and chippers, which equates to a smoother cut.

The ONLY state that I am aware of them charging tax for is WA which is where Amazon is headquarted.

It is NOT based upon where they ship it from as 70% of my Amazon purchases are shipped from a warehouse about 25 miles from my house.
