          Sparkey,

This item qualifies for the 20% off promotion.. $34.99 price is before the 20% off is applied.

          Kind regards,
          Chris

Add it to your cart and go to checkout, choose free s/h, and it should be showing for a total of $27.99 before you confirm the order.

it doesnt give me free shipping option and it is still 34.99 at check out. it is asking for my credit card info, and i dont know what the final price is yet. if i enter the info, is it going to charge my card?

edit: i guess its no more 20% off and no more free shipping

                  Question - Which Blade?

ok, this is the first time on amazon, so that is why i didnt understand what is going on. i had selected the wrong seller!

question: i have only used the 10" 40 teeth that came with the bt3100, should i also buy the
60 tooth frued cross cut: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00020JOBO/...pf_rd_i=507846

                  or the
                  50 tooth frued combination cut:
                  http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...d_i=B00020JOBO

i cant think of when i am going to need the cross cut only. the combination will be good but is there a noticable difference between the finish on the cut from 40 to 50 teeth?

                  thanks

In addition to the 20% saw blade promo, there's also now a 10% Freud code...enter "FREUDIOP".

It's going to boil down to preference and opinion. My LU86 cut at least as well as my LU84, which is the full kerf version of the LU83. Not sure you'll see a $10 difference between them, and you'll get glue line edges from either one. Pretty much a coin toss IMHO, so the lower price wins by way of tie breaker.

If the 60T blade you mentioned is the LU88, it'll also rip well up to ~ 6/4", so offers alot of versatility for a crosscut blade, and perform well for general purpose duty. Leaves a cut that's a tad cleaner than my WWII. Whether or not you'll "need" one is up to you, but $32.xx shipped is a terrific buy. Easier to tell the difference with this one...one of my favorite blades.

Just to confuse matters...if you're considering two blades, I'd think an LU88 and a 24T LU87 would be an awesome compliment to each other for a grand total of ~ $56 shipped. This is a more versatile lineup than a combination of the LU86 & LU88 or LU83 & LU88, because it gives you more capability on either end of the cutting range with heavy ripping from the LU87, a cleaner cut from the LU88 in sheet goods and hardwoods, yet maintains alot of versatility of common tasks.

If the second blade was more as a backup to your primary, then maybe two LU86s or two LU83's or one of each is the way to go...

thanks dustmight for shedding light on the blades, the LUs are confusing!

what would i use a 24T blade for? wouldnt this blade be for like rough rips or cross cuts only?

I've been trying to decide on a good blade for my SCMS, which would be best? I've got the LM74 for my TS.

Yep...bulk rip cuts in thick material, or rough framing crosscuts if you wanted. A ripper is one blade I'll change blades for when appropriate. It's alot kinder on your motor....everyone should have a ripper IMO, even if you don't use a dedicated crosscut blade. It's about capable of glue line edges in most materials, but won't cut nearly as cleanly as the LU83, LU86, or LU88.

thanks dustmight! i am starting to understand your advice. it makes sense. if you hadnt said that the 88 can also rip upto 6/4", i would have never known.
