Just dropped to $34.11 . Now out of stock. Seems like a steal at this price. How does it compare to the all in one from Emerson. Anybody??Last edited by jobole; 09-04-2007, 06:34 AM. -
I am unable to see pics of this 100" one anywhere, but if it's like the others, looks like there's a regular sized t-track on top, which would make it a pretty nice unit. I have the All-in-One (50" and 99") and like it a lot, but it's track is a bit shallower than regular (sorry, have not measured exactly).
I'd think it'd be easier to rig up accessories for regular sized t-tracks. Anyway, for $35 it's a great buy. If I hadn't spent all my clamp-guide money (and more), I'd have gone for this one.
Funny that Woodline's site does not mention the 100" at all! And dunno if the 100" has added stiffeners to hold up that long length. It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.

I just spoke with the Woodline folks. The reason the 100" clamp is not listed on there site is they do not offer shipping for this item due to the length, potential for damage, etc. I told them about the Amazon sale and she said they (Amazon) will be responsible for any shipping / damage issues.
I also asked about the strength of this item due to its length and she assured me it will not flex and is very solid.
BTW: I just ordered one.Last edited by big8pt; 09-04-2007, 08:19 AM.Comment

The 37" version (WL-5183) is only $9.64 at Amazon.

Can these things (particularly the shorter ones) be used for glueing up panels? Do they clamp tight enough? Are they adjustable, or does the panel have to be exactly 36", for example?Comment

Ive got the 37" clamp and it clamps very tight. I can pick the workpiece by it. It is easily adjustable by sliding on side of the clamp the full length of the clamp. Havnt glued any panels up with it yet, but i dont see why you couldnt.. I would probably get some of the back to back versions and use them below the panels and use the single sided ones on top because the depth of the clamp is kinda shallow . Just according how thick the panels are i guess. I really like these things. Hope the 100" stands up to my expectations. Hope this helps.Comment

Price Jumped Before My Eyes
I hyperlinked from jobole's post to Amazon and the price was $34.11. I hyperlinked from the $34.11 description to see other Woodline products within Amazon's site. After backing up to the $34.11 description, the screen suddenly flashed, and the price suddenly changed to $72.22. Is it me, or does Amazon just like playing games? Guess I hit it right at the moment of change. The time was 7:43 AM EDT. (Must have been an 8:00 o'clock worker in early.) Unbelievable.Just dropped to $34.11 . Now out of stock. Or buy the item immediately, select "pay by check", and take up to 3 months to make up your mind....
You can always cancel or change payment method to CC.

The 37" back-to-back model is still a very good price at $15.33 each. This can also be separated to be used just like the normal 37".Prices back up on all models across the board. Cheers to those that pulled the trigger.

Yes it does. Just be aware that after you place the order you can only cancel or change payment method/billing address and shipping address. You can't change quantities or only cancel one item in an order. So I usually place separate orders (of 1 each of items I want) to allow me to easily pick and choose what I want to be delivered. It helps to have Prime for this of course, because I don't have to worry about a minimum order amount for free shipping. It is also a great way to assure you get the absolute minimum price for an item you don't have an immediate need for (shhhh...
).
One other note. If you are placing an order that is a great deal because of a promotion updating any part of the order may remove the promotion. If you are concerned this is the case I would suggest one of 2 things.
1. Mail in the check rather than changing the payment method.
2. Call up an Amazon CSR so they can see the order total before and after the switch to the credit card. If a promotion is removed the CSR will usually request a refund of the promotional amount removed.
If you don't do this, yes you usually can call or email and explain the situation (you will have proof of the original order total in the confirmation email) but trust me, it is a PITA. You don't need to worry about this if it is just item prices fluctuating or shipping charges credited.Last edited by profx; 10-19-2007, 02:56 PM.Comment
