    Delta 31-695 6" belt / 9" disc sander $45.80...Lowes SKU included

Saw a post here by a guy that said he saw the Delta 31-695 6" belt and 9" disc sander on sale at Lowes.

Well he was right. I called my Lowes right when I saw that post at 8:45pm. The tool guy Roy said he'd call me back when I called, that he was with a customer. 5 minutes later he calls back and starts checking the PC, but no luck with just the Delta 31-695 number. At that point I did not have a SKU. So I ask if he can check the isle where the tools are. Tells me he'll call back in 5 miniutes after he check the shelves on the tool isle, and again he does 5 minutes exactly. Says he has one. So I ask him on the phone what the price is. He studders for a moment, I can tell he's either gunna say big bucks, or he is as shocked as I am. "Its $45.80" I immediately said "I want it, hold it for me I'll be right there". Practically ran to my car and tried hard to go the speed limit

    The SKU is 201542

Thanks "jessrice" for posting that deal. I've been wanting one of these for awhile now. I looked for a few of the other item (actually all of them ) but did not see any at my store.

And thanks Scott S for telling me about this forum!

I just called the Lowes down the street. Glenn, the tool dept guy, said that he had one for $45 and that since it is the floor model and he could 'work with me' on the price. I'm going at lunch to check it out.

        Dang,
        that's 10.00 dollars cheaper than I paid!

My wife has the receipt in her purse, if she didnt toss it, I'll scan it in the morning, and post it then. It was for $55.20.

I purchased the scroll saw as well, but cant seem to find the receipt, so i am frantically searching for it as well. I save every receipt, even from fastfood, so I cant beleive i miss placed it! especially for a tool!

I will try to stop by lowes tonight, to get the sku# of the pc nail set

          I got mine!!!!

I went to Lowes and they had 2 left and I spoke with the manager and showed her this thread and she said "sure, no problem." I didnt need the belt/disc sander, but for $45.80, who can resist. I have my receipt but have no idea how to get it posted here. ALSO, they have (2) Biesemeyer fence systems left and the manager told me I could have one for $80 if I want it. Problem is, I have a 50" setup on my 5hp Shop Fox and dont need one. I am in Fort Wayne, IN. if anyone is close and needs either one of these.

          Regards,

          Jeff

GrantV, what Lowes did you go to? I would like to find the same deal if they still have any at that price and would be happy to drive to So. O.C. to get it if I cant find it up in the No. O.C. area.

            Thanks
            Dale

Scanned reciepts please, somebody! Somehow am not able to resist the anticipation on these, tho am pretty sure my local lowes are not gonna oblige.

really need a belt sander cheap - either this one or the 1" for $20 (another thread)...

btw, to get the receipt here, you gotta have scan it to a JPG format and attach it to your post. or you could use a digital camera...

another way is (if you don't have a scanner or camera)
              (a) get a free account at www.efax.com
              (b) they give you a fax number. now fax your receipt to that number
              (c) the fax arrives into your email account you gave while registering
              (d) you save that in a JPG format and post it here !!

Might be getting a used Ridgid OSS for a little more than this. Which should I get? Any reason to get both?

Alright, I'm back. Glenn was wrong, it wasn't a floor model, it was new in the box. It took them about 15 minutes to locate it. This was not on my immediate must0-have list, but for the price I couldn't pass it up. What a beast.

Thanks to those that posted scans of the receipt. Been at work all day and emailed myself the scanned receipt if anyone still needs one I could email it.

You can go to any Lowes with the SKU and they can search their other stores to see who has one or two. It is a brown box with a small Delta sticker that wraps a corner, about 7" either side of the corner, so they could have it stored so you cannot see the picture. But I'll tell you that the guy told me that this item was not listed as being in stock at my store, just like the Biese and Uni were not either. So it pays to search the isle yourself or if you can convince a worker to do it for you, but it could depend on how much effort they put into the search, the box could be a bit hidden up high like mine was. So even if you give them a SKU the PC could come back as saying the store does not have one, when they might. When I got the Uni and Biese fences they told me they did not have any when I was armed with the SKU, but I walked the isle myself and saw the boxes up high. Hope this helps.

Thanks, folks for the scan. I was able to talk one manager into giving me one for that great price. He said that this is the only and last time he will price match from a store not within the district. I was ecstatic. On my way out, I found a dewalt SDS rotary hammer drill (normal price 199$) for 35.80. Oh, what luck. I am so happy.

Doh! I never get these deals.... There's 2 in the district, one is 3 hours away and the other is not really there.

I found 2 in Atlanta, but the manager wants about $185 for them. He says this is already below cost for them.
