Funny. Now that the price is back to normal online, they are back in stock. Imagine that.

    What BS...

Now this last email says that they won't charge my account till the item is shipped. But my bank account was billed on the 30th and has cleared to Home Depot already.

Going online it says "routed" which means it is being shipped but there is no Tracking Number. I called the 800 number and the girl said routed means it is being shipped. I guess we'll see. Anyone else get the same so far?

Mine said routed for several days as well and my bank account showed there was a pending charge for the jigsaw. Even after my order was cancelled yesterday my bank account still shows the pending charge.

Ya, I sent them a very short and pointed email "when are you going to give me my money back?". REply was they never took it out. BS!

The fact that the cancellation email said the MANUFACTURER discontinued the product and it now avail again is complete BS.

Isn't there some law that online vendors can't charge you until the item ships? If they charged you then that means the deal is complete and the product is on it's way?

They know that the CC policy is 30 days after the charge to have a dispute claim filed.
Sears with me and about 10 friends canceled a tool set and took 3 weeks to credit the CCs. The law is if you accept delivery ie. you now have ownership, then can not change the price, otherwise they can and you have the right to refuse the delivery. I think if they process the order they can charge you. Read the legal garbage on the web site under terms of sale.
I still have a routed status on my order.
                    Anyone actually get the saw?

I placed my order on 8/30, received the order confirmation and out of stock e-mails on the same day. My credit card also had a hold for the order total for 5 days. I received the order cancelation e-mail last night-no explanation given as to why. I called today and was told it was canceled due to a price error.

Same here, was told I could get 10% off the full price of $250, such a deal.

I received a cancelation email last night. Very disapointed with hd.com with a wait of nearly two weeks. I doubt that I'll shop online there again. And I also have had great success at Lowes lately. And Lowes store help is so much more friendly and helpful, at least in my area. So I'll proably favor them even more now when I need to stop by a hardware store even though the hd is probably a mile closer.

What ever happened to honoring your pricing that is posted?

mine was cancelled 2 days ago. the person who emailed me back claimed it was a pricing error. they offered 10% off on my next purchase, even though I already have one of those.

                                contrast HD's CS to Amazon's:

i sent 2 individual emails to amazon in reference to products that are on backorder. the people who responed credited my account for $5 each. that's $10 i have in credit. might not be much, but in my eyes that's darn good CS.

i realize amazon reneges on pricing errors, but at least they offer something that is beyond discount codes that are available to everyone.
