Dallas - Home Depot @ Forest Lane display models

I just saw these display model items on sale at the Dallas, Forest Lane HD:

    Ridgid 14" Bandsaw $244.66

Ridgid oscillating edge/belt sander $139.66 - missing some drums/sleeves, throat plate & table insert. I'm still very tempted...

Ridgid 13" planer $244.66 - looked brand new

    Ridgid 15" drill press $195.66

If you get the OSS you can contact Rigid and they will send you any missing parts.

      I paid $200 fro the OS/B sander. It's a nice tool.
If you can get the parts it's a steal

On my way home from work I stopped at 3 different Home Depot's looking for a non woodworking related item for my wife. At the one in the Colony TX on 121, they had all of the 'bench top' tool floor models sitting on a couple of rolling carts with a sign saying 10% off. This included the Ryobi drill press, router table, band saw, scroll saw and planer. There was also the big DeWalt 13" planer. The HD down the road on Josey in Carrollton had this one on clearance for $274.66 two weeks ago when they were clearing out their floor models. (It's in my garage now!) At 10% off, $499 might still be an attractive price, but it wouldn't hurt to go there and ask.

I picked up the floor model of the Ridgid jointer for $125, it was missing a few parts. I called Ridgid and they sent me the new parts for free. They have had pretty darn good customer service the couple of times I've dealt with them.
