Gorilla 17' Multiposition Ladder $99 at HD

In today's Home Depot flyer:
Gorilla aluminum 17 foot multiposition ladder with bonus stabilizer bar and tool tray/work platform was $169, then $129, now $99. Limited quantities.
I just bought one last week for $129- seems like a good ladder. SKU is 885-790.

That is a good deal. That is what I paid for my 13'. It's a bit heavy, but very handy. There have been a few times where I wish I had the 17'.

Lowe's has the 13' Werner version(#78390) on sale for $59 right now.Looks like a good week to buy a ladder.

Is the 17' the actual length of the ladder itself? I thought I remember reading that ladder sizes were based on reach length?

No, the actual length in extended form is 14' 11". There is some overlap on the sections when extended fully.
It's a 7' max step ladder when in that position.

Nice ladder. Very compact. But it's considerably heavier than my regular A-frame.

Home Depot must be closing out this size of Gorilla ladder. Online does not show the 17'. I just got back from my local store & they did not have any. They are not expecting to get any more in & the nearest store that had one was about an hour away. I called & they have one left. I think the 17' is a good size. I may have to wait.
