Forrest 30T WWII TK for $60 shipped!

I prefer this blade heavily over my 40T version. Feedrate is a dream and cut quality is nearly indistinguishable from the 40T.

Dang, I been holding off making any tool purchases since LOML is applying to med school, but that's just about irresistible.

I've often dreamt of being married to a successful doctor in a well-paying specialty. I've even tried to talk my wife into going back to school.

I think I'd make an outstanding stay-at-home dad.

anyone else having trouble with Check Out. I keep getting an error message when I get to that point.

EDIT: nvm, I think it was my connection. I rebooted and everything's fine now.

I've been looking at blades for awhile now waiting for a sale ... is this considered thin kerf and work well on the BT3 ????
The reviews are great and if the BT3 is happy so am I ....

It should be a great match for the BT3. It feeds very easily and cuts thick material easier than higher tooth count blades.

How does this compare with the new Freud combo blade, the "Premier Fusion", in terms of price and performance?

Haven't spun a new Fusion yet, but can say that the cut quality of the 30T is very close to the WWII 40T, but with a faster feedrate. The Fusion is a 1/8" full kerf blade with a Hi-ATB grind....it'll likely feed slower and not do as well in thick stock, but theoretically should cut cleaner than either. If you have loads of power, feedrate and thick material won't be an issue. Also theoretically, it should dull faster due to the steep angle of the points. The Fusion is ~ $100, the WWII 30T is on sale for $60.

                    THANKS DUSTMIGHT !!!!

I'm in as it sounds like a great all around blade for the BT3 and my original Freud is getting ready to sharpen. I do the majority of crosscuts on my 12" dewalt miter saw and I have 32t, 60t, and 80t blades for that.

This site sure gets my credit card warmed up everytime I look at it !!!!

Thanks for the info. I was just about to order the 40 tooth one for 75 last night but this seems to be a little more versatile. I have the chopmaster, and the dado king as well.

This will be great on my new/used unisaw with the 50 dollar biesemeyer on behalf of Lowes.

Glad that some of you got to jump on this deal. I'd be interested to hear about your impressions of the 30T once you run it. For my uses, it seems just about the perfect compromise in a general purpose blade.

Did you write that stellar epinions review? If yes then you have addressed my question which is, what do you think of this blade as a dedicated rip blade? Would it replace 24 t blade?

On the Fusion note, I have heard that the sharpening can be tricky.

Guilty as charged on the epinions review. It's capable of replacing the 24T blade for all but full blade height rips on my 22124...YMMV... with your Uni it should go thru anything. I still keep the 24T for bulk ripping to save the edge of the WWII for more exposed cuts.
