DW7150PT 50T ATB/R thin kerf combo blade for $27.50 shipped.

I haven't tried this new "PT" series yet, but others have. They appear to be from the old Series 40, which was quite good IMHO. At this price, I'm gonna give one a spin...I'm guessing that it's the rough equivalent of a Freud LU83.

I jumped on this deal as my new Grizzly Hybrid was anxiously awaiting its first use. Blade was delivered yesterday. I immediately installed the blade and broke out the dial indicator before firing it up. 0.025 run out!!! This "think kerf" blade wobbled so much it left a full kerf! Maybe I just got a bad one.

Anyone else order one of these?

Bummer...sounds like you got a clunker. I jumped on this deal and fired mine up yesterday as well. It did require some sanding of the arbor hole to mount it to the arbor, but it performed quite nicely after that. The first thing that struck me was how easily it feeds for a 50T blade...it glides. The cut quality was very good as well. I know that "cgallery" has tried of few blades from this series and is favorably impressed so far. Early on I'm rather impressed by it too.

The package on mine says "Made in the U.K.", which was where DW had made it's Series 40 blades. Mine performs well, but doesn't appear to have the same "polished" look that the Series 40 blades had. Cgallery mentioned that he had to sand some of the yellow coating from the arbor hole too, and I've read about a couple of early quality issues with this series. Sounds like they still need to tighten their QC up a bit more, but will say that mine performs quite nicely overall, and incredibly well for a $27 blade.

Call Amazon and tell them it's defective and have them send a replacement.

Price back up to $43 and change. Thank goodness. I was beginning to think I was going to have more blades than clamps and we all know you can never have enough clamps.

$27.50 for the 7150 was my consolation prize for missing out on the DW7140PT for ~ $17 a few weeks ago....what the heck was I thinking when I procrastinated on that?! (slap to self!)

Oh, and Bill...my blade collection is far more impressive than my clamp collection!

I just used the 7140 for the first time yesterday. Might even be better than a Freud of the same type. Cuts really, really good, crosscut and rip. Wish I had got two when they were on sale.
