I was in Lowes in N. Augusta, SC today, and as always went through the tool department. I saw this item on clearance and purchased it (although I really didn't need it but couldn't resist). I believe the salesman said he had four left, but i think he is going to buy one. He stated he didn't even know it was on clearance. This was originally a $450 set.

The SKU# is 3927 and the model# is CPK40-18. The set includes a circular and reciprocating saw, a drill/driver, and a light.

Sorry, couldn't resist. I paid that much for 1 battery. And almost that much for a reconditioned saw from that kit which i really like. The individual tools sell, without batter or charger, for about what you paid for the whole kit (on ebay). My local store has them as a stock item, normal price.

My local Lowes has them for $444 and wouldn't match the price. So I drove down to N. Augusta and bought all 4 they had left. I'm keeping 2 and hooked up a couple buddies with the other 2.

I did find that the flashlight is for a 14.4V set and won't work with this set. No biggie, I didn't buy it for the light!! Like Atomdawg said, one battery cost that much! Awesome score, thanks for the alert!!

Tried my luck at local lowes. Sales guy said "no way". I didn't ask
the manager though. I think copy of the receipt could help!

I tried at my local store where they usually do price matches if it is reasonable (I got the biesemeyer for 50$ with pricematch recently). They called up, verified the price and said no way. They cannot match out of district. The price difference was too big so they gave me some other excuse....

This is a non stock item in the N. Augusta store only. From what I was told it is probably one of the only stores in the country that this item wasn't selling. The three other stores in the area (in a 15 mile radius) still consider it to be a stock item and wouldn't budge off the $444 price.

WOW...Congrats! Definitely not non-stock around here...now you can fund your new SawStop table saw or that massive jointer or.....Who said PA Lowe's has all the deals!
