I have never seen such a thing before - not sure what to make of it. Supposedly $34.99 regularly.

Thanks, I'll pick up a spare. I use the little guy for sanding pens. With the fine grit disks it's the best thing since sliced bread.Comment

Ken, 25% of the reviews list the unit as "unreliable". You've had no trouble with yours? Is Sears the only place to get replacement disks? I wonder if this thing is being discontinued...Comment

I've had mine for several years and it's still going strong. It's on sale dirt cheap at times then goes back to regular price. It's made by a German company. http://www.3d-sander.com/us/produktinfo.htm
Sears has a good selection of disks, I haven't looked for them elsewhere, actually I'm still using the original large pack I got with the sander. It's not for everything bit comes in very handy.Comment

It's used on contoured surfaces, where a flat-faced sander would only contact the surface in one spot. Comes in handy for sanding curved furniture legs, turning work, ball carvings, 3-D millwork, etc.Comment
