Just checked a few stores in central and east FL. No luck. They've all got 'em and all at the regular price, with no hint of any upcoming closeout. I did learn that these things are often left up to the individual store managers, but also that DW items are rarely closed out for less than 50% of retail, since they sell out almost immediately at that discount. Sounds like you got one of those rare catches.

Darn, I was in Somerset, PA over the weekend. I wish I knew that I could have snapped up a good laminate trimmer for $20.

I did buy it, unfortunately the only one they had. I always check the bargain table they have, but decided to walk around looking for yellow tags and just happened upon it on the shelf. I had to look twice, then snatched the box as quick as I could! Here's a scan of the receipt. Let me know if its not big enough. Good luck!

What's the deal with Lowes in PA? IIRC, most of the Hitachi BS ridiculous clearance prices came from PA.

Must be nice. None of my local Lowes will budge on clearance prices. Even if I have a receipt for a price match, it will do me no good unless it's less than an hour old, practically.

I tried one of the Lowes in this area and they said they did not match other Lowes stores prices on clearance items. They have the trimmer at regular price.

This one might be elusive, at least in St. Louis. Two different stores, all they had was the D26670.

I stopped at another local Lowes in Johnstown, PA tonight and found their display model in another isle stickered at clearance, but the price was $49.95. I had vehicle issues tonight, and was pressed for time, so I didn't look for a tool manager to dicker with about it. I didn't have my receipt either. Next trip I'll take it and see what I can do. Mine came in box with copy guide and wrench, I doubt this one would have them. Nevertheless, I'll keep an eye out, and if it comes down I'll grab it for someone.
