Ok, I've been back awhile but ya didn't think I was gonna rush in here rather than play around with the new toy...... tool for a bit did ya?
Traded the guy my HF with the cracked upper arm and a couple of blades along with $280. It turned out to be a Powermatic Model 044 14", 1 hp, open base steel frame saw. 9" resaw cap. more than enough resaw capacity for anything I'll ever do. Weighs a ton. Even on my UN-EVEN shop floor it's smooth as silk.
Get a mobil base, some good blades and I'll be in BS heaven. Don't forsee the need for another upgrade.

BTW UNCLE CRACKER............THANKS
