I really think you are better off without the GMC tool. I have found that cheap tools are a false economy.

I agree...the GMC Sander was actually just the cheapest power tool at Amazon that would qualify for the "buy a power tool & qualifying acessory and get 20% off"...with a fairly expensive acessory (like the Kreg Master Kit) - the GMC Sander was really almost a throw away item, but got you the discount...

I didn't need the sander either but it got me a great deal on the Kreg K3.

I went for the Incra 5000 myself. Received it today. Awesome. I have a 1000 and it is a great gauge.

Nice! What is the main advantage you'll gain over a crosscut sled and your 1000. Basically the ability to miter panels? (wondering if I should have gone for it vs the 1000SE?)

The Dremel engraver and Dremel pumpking carving kit were also good cheap choices. But isn't accessory discount deal dead now anyway?

Most of my work involves large rail and stile panels. Got this instead of sliding table. I think most folks would be fine with 1000SE.

BTW, those GMC sanders showed up today. Gonna make nice stocking stuffers for someone!
