Where to buy B&D Mouse sandpaper

I just bought one of these from Amazon for $28.28 shipped:

    http://www.amazon.com/Black-Decker-M...1528571&sr=8-1

That seems like a pretty good price, but after I started looking at sandpaper pricing, I'm beginning to wonder!
Does anyone know where to get the best price on this paper?
Also, what is the diameter of the ROS disc attachment?

    Thanks,
    Kurt

That's a great price considering most places sell it for $50-$60. They had it on sale for $19.95 shipped when Amazon had that bonanza on GMC stuff. I haven't thought about where to buy replacement paper but was thinking that I could just cut up some 5" round sandpaper I use for my ROS since it's hook and loop. Wonder if that would work as a cheap replacement.

I like my Mouse, although I got the non-DC model, because experience with my neighbor's DC type showed that the dust collection makes it too bulky, and doesn't work too well anyway (only dust from the very center of the pad is withdrawn). I also bought some generic pads at Lowe's which fit well and work as good as the more expensive B&D pads, although they don't come with the replaceable tip pieces. Also, they don't have the DC vent holes. You will probably want to stick with (no pun intended) the factory pads if you use the DC.

Sears has/had a knock off version and likely sells the paper. As noted above Lowes carriers a non-B&D version of the paper.

I personally never liked the thing due to swirl patterns. I always needed more hand work after sanding.

          Sandpaper

I read in a recent post about:

          http://commerce.riverweb.com:8002/DISCS.html

I e-mailed them earlier to see if they had an offering or equivalent for the B & D mouse. I paid 14.99 new for mine at K-mart a few years back. I like the tool but have not been able to find a good aftermarket source for supplies. I bought paper at HD tonight and it was $5.?? Ouch!

              Thanks all!

I'll check out Ebay & Lowes.
But if worse comes to worse, I have a Sears gift card I need to use before I loose (if Sears weren't always in malls, It'd be much easier).

BTW, the reason I wanted the DC version was it is 1.4 amps while the standard is 0.5 Amps. The write-ups on Amazon indicated most people liked theirs, but were disappointed at how slow they sanded, so I figure more power couldn't hurt.

              Cheers,
              Kurt
