    Go Ahead Do It.............

After waiting weeks for a decent 6" Jointer to go on sale with no luck I finally pulled the trigger on a Delta JT360. I have been looking on Ebay, Craigslist and Amazon for a good deal. I got a Delta benchtop jointer as a gift a few weeks back so I took it to Lowes and exchanged it for the JT360, all in all it only cost me $159 out of pocket for the Jointer. It was rated 4 of 5 stars on Amazon...But I just know that as soon as I put this baby together that a better deal will arise So go ahead and post the better deal

Every tool you own is broken, you just don't know it yet :-)

I don't know if it is a better deal, but I just got the G0452 6" jointer from Grizzly for $384.00 delivered. Ordered it last Friday, and it was delivered yesterday morning. Spent about 2 hours on assembly, but most of that was getting the belt on. Everything else went together smoothly. Fit and finish is excellent, and it's a beast compared to other tools I have. I think it's going to get me in trouble though, because now I want to upgrade everything!!

Even if a better deal comes along, I doubt you will lose any $$$ on the Delta. Keep it 6 months and sell it for $200. Just be sure to check the alignment on the infeed/outfeed tables and the knives. There are numerous posts here (Loring's are great) on jointer alignment. Happy Jointing.
