I made a deal with Byrd to buy some heads for stock so here is what I can offer. Let me know if you're interested and I'll advise payment method and delivery times.

8" generic or DJ20 style jointer
$350 at your door

I can do a good deal on the planer heads too but need a handfull of customers up front first because I'm not putting that many of those expensive heads in stock. With enough interest they would be $595 delivered.

The 20" at $850, same story.

Can do 6" jointer too but need some customers first as well, just not popular. With enough interest they would be $275 delivered.

I am thinking about the 6" for my Ridgid jointer. Don't use much figured woods yet, but heard it also has the advantage of lasts longer.

They had it listed under Generic and under Ridgid so I must have entered it twice. Is it the JP0610?

Yes it is. I thought maybe one was supposed to be listed as the JP0600 (old grey Ridgid).

These things are AWESOME!

Just make sure to wear HEAVY gloves when installing as mine cut thru the gloves I was wearing and into my hand!!

The 6" head for the Ridgid JP0610 jointer is still showing at $329. Also, how hard is it to install one of these? I couldn't find any installation instructions on line.

Sorry, just fixed the pricing. I don't have instructions for the machines but here is a DJ20 install, they are all similar.

Most complicated part is getting a new bearing on or getting the old one off and new one on. It's really not difficult. Just wear gloves when handling the head, those cutters are sharp.

Any news back on the PM54? Also, I see you have two different PN heads listed on your webpage for the PM54A. You may want to check that.

They sent me some drawings today and a whole bunch of confusing text. I asked again about the 54, not 54A. They may not know there is a difference.

The Powermatic 54 Manual shows the cutterhead drum PN as 6285856. The 54A manual shows the same PN. It's funny because the PN for the assembly is different even though every part in the detail drawing is the same. PM54 cutterhead assembly is 6285938 vs 6296074 for the 54A.

I should be safe being the PN for the cutterhead drum matches. Do you want to run this past them to see what they think?
