Did I get a good deal?

I was checking out Craigslist in my area today when I saw someone selling some redwood ($15) and poplar ($10). I said I could be there this afternoon.

Well, for $25 I got:

Redwood - (7) 35 1/4" x 5 1/2" x 1 1/2"
(1) 35 1/4" x 2 7/8" x 1 1/2"

Poplar - (6) 54" x 3 5/8" x 1" (inch or two of splitting on the ends)

and thrown in...

Mahogany - 26 1/2" x 3" x 3/4"

all are sanded on four sides.

After putting the wood in my truck I turn the corner and there's a two drawer file cabinet sitting in the trash that's in good condition.

I think I made out good on the deal but I don't know wood prices. Do y'all think it was a good deal?

Sounds pretty good to me. But then again I'm no expert. I think they sell the poplar at Borg for around $3 a LF.

Looks like a great deal to me - the poplar alone is worth about $15 - 18. The last time I bought 2x6 redwood (~ 6 yrs ago), a couple of 8' boards cost me about $50.
