That's a good price. These used to be $39.99, would occasionally go on sale for $29.99. So this is the equivalent deal.
For those unfamiliar with this kit ... although the picture shows only one, there are actually TWO 10' lengths of hose included. Everything else is, if memory serves, as pictured.LarryComment

Picked up one of these the other day and was pretty disappointed. I figured even though HF usually carries lower end stuff that the DC kit wouldn't be much different that what you would find online or at Rockler. To my surprise I was very wrong. Here's my take on the items in the kit.
-4"X10 hoses
The hoses were actually decent quality from what I could tell. They were much lighter than the clear 4" hoses from Rockler (too heavy) and resembled the grey delta hose that come with their DC. I liked the hoses.
-Table saw port / universal ports / Y connector
No complaints here, just molded plastic and no moving parts. Standard 4" hoses fit fine.
-Blast gates
Even though they looked identical to the plastic blast gates that I have from Rockler there was definitely a difference in quality. They were lighter and thinner which is fine but the slide mechanism of the gate had no resistance which is not fine. The gates would not stay open when the DC was on. I had to shim it with some blue painters tape to add resistance to keep the slide fully open during use.
-Hose clamps
This was the most frustrating part of this kit. I don't know if I was just unlucky but all 10 clamps were oversized. I'm guessing they are all like that. Again comparing to other clamps I have which have no problems tightening down over the hose these clamps would not get tight enough. The bolt would be turned all the way in before it even got close to cinching down over the hose. I had to unhook the wire, cut and re-bend so the clamp would tighten down to a smaller diameter. PIA but got it to work.
Anyone else have these problems?
If I had to do it again I would spend the extra 8 or 10 bucks and get the kit from Jet. Basically the same items are included sans one universal dust port.

I haven't tried any of the DC accessories from Jet but I have to guess it's gotta be better than the stuff from HF.Comment

I had heard that the kits they were selling a year or so ago, when I got my two, came from Taiwan. The new kits are coming in from the other China. Could be the difference, maybe not. I've been using my kits for going on two years without a problem. PatWoodworking is therapy.....some of us need more therapy than others. <ZERO>Comment
