    Porter-Cable 15A 3.5 Horsepower 25-Gallon Oil-Free Vertical Compressor $250 free ship

Sorry guys, another one shamelessly ripped from clearanceman at FW:

    Porter-Cable CPFC2TV3525VP 15 Amp 3.5 Horsepower 25-Gallon Oil-Free Wheeled Vertical Compressor

You have to go to the sidebar and add it from Amazon, then it's $250 w/ free shipping.

Trying hard to resist this one... not sure about the "oil-free" part... also not sure where I'd put this thing...

Use this link instead if you want Amazon referral credit to go to BT3Central instead of the affiliate "fatwalletcom".

    Porter-Cable CPFC2TV3525VP 15 Amp 3.5 Horsepower 25-Gallon Oil-Free Wheeled Vertical Compressor

(same deal -- Add it from Amazon if the one that comes up isn't sold by Amazon.)

Ordered. I'm a little depressed about "Shipping estimate for these items: April 24, 2007 - May 8, 2007" But it gives me time to make room in the garage.

This seems to be a nice compressor--two-stage looks like an advantage for some of the work I want to do.

Wow, this sounds like a really good deal!

What would be the pros and cons of this thing?

Thought they were charging $149 for shipping but after adding to the cart shipping is free.

So tempted to pick one up.

Sears has a 26 gallon compressor selling for $237 with the sale going on right now. The sears site doesn't give detailed specs on the unit but I would think it might be similar to the porter cable. All it says is that it puts out 6.4 cfm but is only 2hp compared to the 3.5hp the PC is rated at. It comes with a set of air tools. Not sure but in the past I believe de villis made compressors for both craftsman and porter cable.

Well, I'm going to sleep without buying it, hopefully the deal will be dead in the morning so I can save some money

I went ahead and ordered it. I've been thinking about getting one for the longest time but have been putting it off because I've been using my friends.

I hope this will be a good investment. I searched everywhere and compared prices versus similar models and at $250 with free shipping it was too good to pass up.

After owning a couple of those big behemoths - I finally learned my lesson.

They are super loud and take FOREVER to fill up.

Unless you are in need of serious air flow - IMHO you would be much better served with a smaller oil-lubed model.

I know I am much happier now with the PC twin stack oil lubed unit I own - it only takes 30 seconds to fill up and is pretty bearable noise wise and it'll run any tool you want with it aside from maybe air sanders or sandblasting.

Before you bite the huge manly compressor bug - consider the drawbacks.

Deal is finally dead - price is now $378. Lasted longer than I thought it would. I couldn't pull the trigger, but probably best that I didn't anyway...

                        I got mine today!!

Haven't had a real chance to check it out performance wise but I'm amazed at how quiet this thing is!

                          Delivery estimate: May 1, 2007 - May 17, 2007

Go to http://www.eaglegl.com/portal/page/portal/EGLHome and put in your tracking/order number (mine started with an R).

Amazons ship dates were very vague but eagles was more precise. Eagle also called me and asked when I wanted it delievered.

Hmm, great suggestion--however Amazon says not shipped, and I can't find an R number anywhere, and Eagle doesn't like my 3+7+7 digit amazon order number.
