Couldn't Help Myself

This saw and the TS3650 were running neck and neck, just waiting for one of them to go on sale. LOML said buy what you want, aahhh get that Unisaw but common sense said overkill so pulled the trigger on the 22114. Now to pick it up, easy, get it into the shop (not so easy). I'm gonna love it even if it sucks.

the ridgid ts3650 is $475 until april 11th.

if you have a 10% coupon, it will make the deal even sweeter, i think 427.50 before tax (homedepotmoving.com or lowesmoving.com (hd takes lowes coupons and you usually get them via email within 3 days)).

cool thing is, you can buy the ts3650 for $550, add on something else for $50, to get your total up to $600, and you will receive an instant rebate for $125. so the price will be the same as buying the saw alone (550 with a $75 instant rebate).

Why I purchased the 22114

Main reason I purchased it over the TS3650 was the price (now the TS3650 is less, there goes that reason). Both saws have received good reviews with the TS3650 receiving better reviews IMO. I think the issues that swung me to the 22114 was dust collection and smaller footprint. If the TS650 had been on sale at its current price at the same time I purchased the 22114 I might have gone for the 3650, its hard to say. I believe they are both very good saws with different good and not so good features. Just a matter of preference I think. I was comfortable with the 22114 knowing it was made by Orion. Fence on the TS3650 seems a bit better. I think the two saws, given their differences are a toss up, can't go wrong with either one.

Didn't feel a drop, thougt is was a fair question. As with many things, adrenaline plays a part in obtaining bargains. Mine was flowing when I read the bargain alert on the forum about yesterdays sale.

I am happy as a pig in the sewer and won't have to buy another saw, ever (fingers crossed). I certainly appreciate and thank the person who made the original post about the sale, made my day (probably my year).

I read on another post somewhere that when you walk up to the saw and you find yourself smiling, go for it. Smilling all the way. (Wife paid for it, she's 1 in a million)

Where did you see the ts3650 for $475? I didn't see that price online and I was at HD this weekend and they still had it at it's normal price.
