I consider any source of good wood a bargain, so I guess this qualifies for the "Bargain Alerts" forum.
I bought some old growth pine from The Ole General Store in Geneva today. The owner is a woodworker and enjoys selling to woodworkers. And, he's a really nice guy. Call ahead to make sure that he is in before going there.

He has some beautiful stuff mostly Florida-grown and cut. He cuts and dries most of it. He also gets in wood from out of state and out of the country.
Some examples that caught my eye ...
> 14" wide river-recovered cypress - also wide planks of other woods, too.
> quarter-sawn Laurel oak
> Chinaberry
> Sycamore
> Magnolia
> Mahogany -- cut in Florida!
> Salvaged wood from old buildings
> on and on.
Prices aren't dirt-cheap, but fair.
