Bessey Cabinet Door Clamp Kit or Pipe Clamps

These are on sale in Amazon's weekend sale. I know that pricing at Amazon is kinda crazy, so I'm asking if this is a good price for these and are they worth the extra money over using bar clamps for making raised panel doors? Both would be free shipping. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I have bought the 2440 kit for as little as $67, though that was pretty much an all time low. I would look for <$100. IMHO parallel bar clamps are superior to pipe clamps for gluing up raised panel doors. Check out my little write up on the advantages of each.

While I like the Jet clamps much better than Bessey, the Bessey clamps are very nice and I wouldn't pay any significant amount more for the Jet clamps. Regardless of which you are getting, like Jeffrey said, look for them in the sub-$100 range. The last time I got a couple of sets of the Jet clamps at about $84 each.

I think my local Rockler STILL has the Jet clamps for $100. You may want to check that out first.

After reading all of the reviews, I think I'm going to go with these.

I thought it was against forum policy to post links for personal financial gain... It sure looks like these tinyurl posts are benefitting someone other than BT3Central...

If you'd rather BT3Central get credit for this referral to Amazon.com (and any commissions generated from this referral), as opposed to the OP, then use this link instead:

BTW, I have to say that last one was the best "random" TinyURL link I've seen so far!!
