Jerry, I'm wondering whether you may have mis-read the price ...? When I put this jig into my shopping Cart, the price is $339.39. Apply the 20% discount code (I'm taking Jeffrey's word that it's valid for this item) and the price should reduce to $271.91.

That is a pretty good price for even the old 7216 Omnijig. I really haven't heard much about this one yet. Has anyone used it or seen reviews?

OOOps Larry, you are correct! I was in a hurry and forgot the discount code, etc. The PC4212 is an excellent DT jig for the $, very well rated. So this from the same people (PC) at the level of Leigh is indeed a good value..Thanks..Sorry for the oversight!!

With the code, the PC older model 5116 dovetail jig comes in at $184.99. DAMHIKT.

I have not used the new one only played with it at WC. It is absolutely awesome and a flat out steal at the current price. Someone has finally given Leigh a run for its money. I think in future reviews we will see the PC come out on top of the pile.

                Isn't the Leigh a 24" jig?

                  The 24" version is, however the 16" version is . . . .well . . . 16".

                    We'll dahhh.......I learned that in 1st grade too .

I subscribe to Wood magazine and the new 24" version of the P-C Omnijig is way more impressive than the 16". Just trying to provide helpful input to others so they didn't "knee-jerk" on this deal thinking it was comparable to the Leigh D4.

To elaborate, the 24" has the adjustable template for variable spacing of through and half-blind dovetails, the 16" appears to only include the template for fixed size/space half-blind dovetails.

I'm not sure if there are optional templates available for the 16" that would add the variable spacing or through DT capabilities since the PC website isn't the greatest for these tools.

I think if I were going to buy a DT jig and didn't want the inexpensive HF or Rockler style (<$100), I'd skip past this one ($270)and go for the 24" Omnijig for another ~$150-175 (guestimating since it's not out yet...).

But, I haven't been able to see either of these new models in person, so perhaps that would sway my mind.

                      Thanks,
                      Kristofor.
