Why oh why do they put 30 micron bags on these??? I would be all over this if it came with one, but a 1 micron bag is another $50, bringing it to about $300 for a 1 micron DC at my door. My 8" jointer is going to need a real DC.

edit: Shipping charge is $99. When shipping accounts for 36% of the total price, that's too much for me.

I bought the 50-760 about 8 months ago for $250 shipped from Amazon. I don't know if it will go that cheap again, but you may want to put it on your watch list. It has the 1 micron bag and can be wired for 240v.

You may also want to check Lowes in your area for the 50-760. They're non-stocked clearance item. They may give you a break on the price. I got mine for $175.plus tax, and I think it's a better buy than the 50-850

I've heard that "non-stock" term thrown around before. I know for a fact my Lowe's doesn't have, or has ever had a 50-760 on display. What does non-stock mean?

I'd much rather have the 50-760, especially since it got the best review in FWW.

Non-stock normally means they're removed from stock in the computer data-base but they may have some still sitting in the store, whether a floor model or boxed. When an item becomes non-stocked it's best to see the tools manager or look around yourself. I looked around for an hour when I spotted one in an unopen box on a top shelf way off the tools section.
