The reviewers on Amazon are ripping this jig a new er... mortise hole.

Has anyone here tried this jig and do they dispute the relatively negative reviews on Amazon?
      Never met a bargain I didn't like.

Those are a surprise to me, too, because I've had this item on my wish list for many months. I saw a comparative review in Fine Woodworking, and I'm all but certain this jig was picked as the winner (i.e., that's why I put it on my wish list).

They are idiots. How do you like that?!?! LOL! This jig is consistently rated as the top of the pile in every review I have read.

Btw, what are the functional differences between the 183 and 184?

Or is it that the former will not work w/ non-delta saws? But another way, will both work for BT3100? (w/ Miter Slot accessory of course)

184 handles are better positioned over all other commercial tenon jigs. This allows your hands to remain closer to the surface of the TS. Since you are pushing from the bottom instead of the top of the jig likelyhood of tilting, etc is minimized. 184 always ranks as the best of the commerical tenon jigs in reviews in my experience.

I've read elsewhere that the Delta 182 model was difficult to fit to the BT3100... is the 183 a direct descendant of that one w/ the same problems? Does the 184, besides the better handle positions, also provide better compatibility for BT3100?
