This looks like a super deal! Time for all those that want a Bosch to get it now. For the "BANG for the Buck" people, this is certainly it!

A great deal on a great saw. In my opinon it has some advantages over my 1590, including a lighter feel. I went for it just to have it as a backup.

Thanks for the heads up, brackishdude.

I added it to my cart several hours ago at $69. I went back and looked at the item again to see if it comes with a case, and noticed it was $119. I clicked on my cart and it was still there for $69, so I pulled the trigger. I guess if you are sitting on the fence for an hour or so, it may help add it to your cart to temporarily hold the price. Thanks for the great deal.

That's exactly what happened to me.

I decided against it and later noticed it was back to $119. When I bought something else still later, found it still in my cart for $69.99. Decided to pick it up at that price.

Thanks to this tip, I asked Amazon to refund the difference between the amount I paid 2 weeks ago and $69. The responded quickly, but as the price had already gone up they refused to honor it. I am replying back insisting and I sort of expect them to come thru. But still why make me hassle? They did give me a credit for $10 tho as a gesture. Hmmmm I have a gesture for them if I don't get my other $20!

                    Update:
Amazon came thru w/ the $35 credit, as well as a $10 credit for the hassle. That gets me to $54 for this unit... almost as good as the Sears deal. Double thanks to brackishdude and a salute to Amazon for being one of the absolute best online retailers.

I have noticed lately on this board and several others, that Amazon will give a dramatic price reduction, then increase it back to where it was within hours. I guess the adage, "You snooze, you lose" works with Amazon.

If anyone got this saw for $69.99, you done good. I got this model along with the 1295 rotary sander for $139.99 @ Home Depot during Christmas 2005 special. Thought that was a good deal.

It seems like a lot of people place things in thier cart before they are committed to buying. Amazon must use this info when setting the price point. Once a certain number are placed in the cart the price goes back up. I'm glad the price remained for those who placed it in thier carts

That cart thing isn't only Amazon. The cheapy Paypal checkout I use does the same thing. When Thom and I decided to get out of pushing sticks, I took the pricing off my site. I still had a couple that had them in their carts, so I felt that I needed to fill the order. Amazon should do the same. Great deal, Guys.

Hmm. I leaped on it also at 104.
