Has anyone seen the "Magnesium" 15g finish nailer in a HF retail store? I have only seen it on line. The two local stores have not had the old red-top 15g nailer for months.
$59 bucks is a good price ... if I can use this preferred customer coupon.

Yes - I just bought this nailer using the $59.00 coupon at the SaddleBrook, NJ store. They said it was fairly new item in the store.
Looked at the nailer this weekend at the local HF. Looked like a solid unit. One thing that stuck out to me was the color and finish of the nailer body. It seemed to fit tight with good seams, and additionally was more of a "Ridgid" orange rather than the "traffic cone" orange seen on may of their tools. The worst part of it to me were the cheesy clasps on the case (and yes, it does come with a case). Even these were separately attached, not the molded-on type seen on many of their cases.
Unit appeared to be VERY close in appearance to my old Senco FinishPro 35 nailer.
One item of note to those that do buy one. As is often noted by others who have bought HF nailers, many issues are resolved by using quality nails. I would look at purchasing some high-quality nails (Hitachi, PC, Dewalt) instead of the included HF variety. My personal favorite are Hitachi from Lowes - work well and much cheaper than the equivalent PC nails.
I bought the air hose reel myself. it is a nice unit. I also recommend that you buy the big blue cannister filter/regulator that goes on sale often for 19.95 to go with it.
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work. - Thomas Edison
