I thought Bosch was moving to Mexico? At least that is what I have been seeing on stuff lately.

Didn't think they spoke Chinese there.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

You may also want to spend seven or eight bucks on the Bosch progressive teeth blades (T234x), which, BTW, are made in Switzerland. I'm not sure whether these are the ones that come with the tool but they are absolutely amazing.

Maybe Bosch has answered the quality question itself by giving a 1 year warrantee on the chinese 1587 and three years on the swiss 1590
As an aside I was in a OSH hardware store yesterday (owned by Sears) and the display bosch 1587 which was a couple years old states "made in USA" on the underside label. The box was long gone so could not check further.
And with all this I will ask what the heck do the three or four letter suffix to the model number mean? AVSP? EVS? I seem to remember at least two different codes on the 1587.

Oddly tho the Craftsman version was made in Switzerland so at $22 that may be the best gloat of all. Sorry to say I missed it at 4 stores I searched.
