I stop at 2 different Lowe's last weekend. One had them on clearance, they were out. The closer one had only half on clearance, the other ones were not marked as clearance. After reading xli1's post I thought I would see if they are marked down also. Finally got a chance to head there today.

The ones in the bins were back up to normal price, and were full of WHITE slides. Then I saw a cart with a bunch of ALMOND slides laying on it. Grabbed a couple to see what they range up, BINGO on clearance!! Grabbed all the ones on the cart, 3 different sizes, 10-12 in each size.
Walked out $80 poorer (grabbed a few other items on sale).

Thanks xli1 for the post. I couldn't get logged on at work for a few days. I picked up multiples for shop cabinets yet to be built, and they will wome in handy for that. Jim.

Thx OP, picked up a bunch of these today in Duluth, GA (had a few more of most sizes left). Don't have a specific plan for them, but they will get used eventually.

Also picked up 2 of the Irwin 6" XP Bar Clamps for $10 (half off "original" price).

Also got a B&D autoclamp for $10 (everyone seems to be clearancing these out, maybe there's a reason???)

There are a bunch of these (half dozen each or so of the 16", 20" and 24") at the Amherst, NH store.

If you didn't have a face frame you would mount the slide on the side of the cabinet. With the face frame you mount the front of the slide on the side of the frame and now have a gap between the slide and side of the cabinet. You either fill the gap or use a bracket to hold the slide from the back of the cabinet.

I used them on my last project and didn't care for them. I got a lot of the Lowes slides and plan on cutting strips to mount them on. The strips will make it easier to level the slides

I seems to figure out that if the item is on clearance nation wide, when you scan the item, the price should be what was marked. If it is only a local store clearance, then the scanned price will still be the original price and will need the cashier's manual ajustment. Let me know if I am wrong.

I stop by the local Lowes nearly everyday waiting for them to mark down stuff. It seems like they lag behind most as far as when they do the markdowns. And most of the time they don't take as much off as other stores. Finnally saw these today. Got 6@16", 3@18, and 3@20. Not the lengths I would have wanted but the price couldn't be beat. Less than $10.00 out the door. Thanks OP! WDO

Yes, it only works for cabinets with face frame, but you do not need it at the front, it is only used at the back. The drawer slide front is directly mounted on the face frame.

I just finished using these sockets to mount 4 drawers, it is easy to adjust, and seems pretty strong, I don't know if it will support 100 lb like the 1284 drawer slide promised, but should be good enough. It is 44 cents a pair.

I think he means the bracket that lets you easily use the slides for face frame construction without the need for a spacer block.
