Denali 3.6V Lithium Ion Cordless Screwdriver Kit

Seems like a good deal based on the postive ratings. Anyone try one of these?

Price was $20 for a while. Remember no shaft lock or clutch so you still may need a screwdriver for fastening and really too slow for much drilling.
If it had a shaft lock then I would have bought it.

This item does indeed have a spindle lock. Locks as soon as the power switch is released. No clutch tho'. But still a nice tool to keep in the house.

I called and asked, they said that the plastic gears will tend to break if you tighten against the motor/trans. Not actually a spindle lock as such in design according to Tool Crib. tech.
Paul ,are you sure that the manual says that is OK to do?

Well, seems so, but not sure I would after your post. But LOML bought it for in-the-house use so I guess it's OK for that. Not for the sop tho'.
