Ryobi AP1301 Gone from HD Site ?

Interesting........can't find the AP1300 or AP1301 on the HD site. Also searched for planers and couldn't find it.

Obviously some still out in the stores.

    Anyone else noticed this ?

I noticed when I asked if they had any at my local store, they said no and wanted to send me to another store. I asked them why they didn't have any with an add running for them, the guys said he didn't see any come in and doubted any would be coming soon.

But at the same store, they have 4 NITB BT-3100-1 sitting way up high on a pallet.

    Go figure.

It's weird, they still have AP1301's in the two stores I frequent here in Knoxville. HD certainly has its quirks.

I had a stack of gift cards I've been collecting so I sprung today for the Ridgid -- TP1300LS. One more tool to get set up tonight.

Someone has given me a local lumber yard to try out so maybe this week some time I can make it over there. Started work on a crib / bed unit over the weekend. We'll see what damage I can do with all these tools I've collected.

My local HD tells me that the Ryobi planer will not longer be carried by HD. The guy also claimed that Rigid has a new model due out soon.

NO idea as to the validiatly of it, but interesting rumor to say the very least.

No idea if the AP1301 is on it's way out!

But one of the local HD's (the smaller one) doesn't seem to sell many power tools and always seems to have these 'discontinued' models around well after everyone else has been sold out. They have 2 of the older AP1300 with the head lock and feed tables. I tried to get them to lower the price seeing as it's "the older model", but since it has the same SKU, they didn't budge. I almost bought one at the full $199, but found a decent deal on a barely used rigid planer that I'm picking up tomorrow. Interesting to hear there may be a newer rigid on the horizon.

Now if I can just get them to price match their website on the rigid jointer

May I ask where in NJ you're finding this stuff? I do most of my shopping at the DE stores, and they seem to go out of stock quickly on many items.

            Thanks,
            Jim

There are 5 HD's within 10 minutes of my house, but i found these at the Garwood store, in Union county. That would be a bit of a hike from DE.

Thanks for letting me know. I do get up that way occasionally, but not too much anymore (I went to college at NJIT).

I saw a 1300 a few months ago near here, but they've been gone a long time now. No 3100s in about a year now.
