Our local Costco had the 19.2v model on sale for $40 just before Christmas. If I didn't already have three others, I probably would have bought it. I don't know about the quality, but I'm not that hard on tools (unskilled hobbyist only) and if it lasted only a year you would think you'd have gotten your forty bucks worth. Sure, I love my Panasonic 12v and my Bosch 18v, but c'mon .. $40? Not bad.

It was the Kawasaki at Costco (also fluorescent green)

A buddy o mine got the Kawasaki from costco.

It did not last the day. Not sure what he did to it but had to hear how terrible it was for about an hour.

Still get to here when ever the conversation comes to tools.

He also thought it was a Hitachi based on colors.

Oh yeah, he thinks that the colors style for the Hitachi are 'silly'.

Yes, it was the Kawasaki. The fluorescent green confused me. I stand corrected. Sounds like it's expensive at any price. Too bad.

The Kawasaki guarantee is supposed to be a long one. At least that is what is said in the Pep Boys ads.
