Seriously, it was a bargain that took a dump. I have a list a mile long of stuff that I would like but the shipping kills the deal. I don't know what's up with Amazon charging the shipping all of a sudden but I hope it's only temporary. Free shipping will prolly come back after they get rid of the NOVTOOLS promo.

but I bet it used to ship free, or at least cheaper. Great way to offset the novtools discount: make us pay the same amount (50 +50 for S/H), but only include half toward the discountable order total

I just received notification from UPS yesterday that overall shipping charges are effectively going up by a minimum of 4.9% effective 1/1/06. I am sure Amazon will have to pass this along some way.

Prime has never removed a shipping charge. Free 2 day shipping for Prime accounts only applies to items that have free super saver shipping. A lot of items that incur extra shipping costs are not eligible for quicker shipping due to weight.
