    Factory Re-Conditioned Uni-saw.. $1099

At Redmond and Son here in Atlanta today to pick up a 18" Steel City Bandsaw. Ask what the best deal on a TS was at the moment? Barry walked me to what I thought was a new Uni-saw with a price tag of $1099 hanging on the front.

Normally a factory re-conditioned runs $1598. Redmond bought 100 of them from Delta for the Xmas season 3 weeks ago. He has 30 left in stock. If my wife wouldn't take out a contract on me after just purchasing a $1200 BS, I would have brought one home. ha.. ha...

The phone # is 1-800-428-9898 if interested.. www.redmond-machinery.com

I do believe they ship, Jim. But.. that will add about $200 give or take onto the tally sheet. These guys sell a lot to commercial industry, schools, etc. They will even deliver and set it up for those that prefer and have the bucks to go that route.

And there are those.... and then the rest of us! ha.. ha...

      Have a good Sunday.. jt

          Wow! What a great deal!

          3hp, 5-year X-5 warranty, 50" Biesemeyer fence.

$1099, $1299 shipped. Hmmmm. Wonder how much I could get for my 22124?

They have a good deal on Board Buddies on their "Specials" site as well.

Only disadvantage I see is you probably don't get the 5-year warranty (called this morning and they want $310 to ship to my house and only have a 6-month warranty).

(Toolsplus had them new delivered to your door for $1625 this past weekend.)

I emailed for a quote on shipping. When I get a reply I will ask about the warranty.

Also, after closely reading the rebate details at Deltamachinery.com, it seems that there is no exclusion for refurb. Buy Unisaw and Mobile base, get $100 rebate.

$245 to ship to York, PA. Confirmed 6 mo warranty.

One thing I have always liked about my 22124 (without mobile base) is that it seemed taller than the average saw. I looked at a X5 Uni at Woodcraft today and boy that thing sure does seem a lot shorter than my 22124.
