On Saturday, 11/4/06, The HD in Escondido had four (4) NIB BT3100. I went back on Sunday 11/5/06 and there was one left at $239.00. I consider myself lucky to get there in time to get the last one! -

Put My BT3100 together tonight
I was traveling this week so I was unable to put my new acquisition together. Today when I got home I spoke with SWMBO and went out to assemble my new toy. Assembly was fairly straight forward. Getting the fence and rails aligned was a bit of a PIA but patients paid off. My first test cuts were on coated MDF. I wanted 1" strips. I had to fool around with the adjustments to the rails, but before you know it one inch strips were a breeze to cut. The blade included with this saw is pretty good, and once everything was set up right I was very happy with the accuracy. Now I cannot wait to start building some projects. This saw would have made my last two a pleasure to build. My last two projects were; a built in entertainment center and a built in book case. I will send pictures to get feed back from some of the more experianced wood workers around here.
