When comparing this bench dog to the BOSCH RA1181, which one would people choose? Just looking at the specs and the reviews, I see the following:

The Bosch seems to win in these areas:
        Slightly larger table (3" longer)
Aluminum plate with rings vs acrylic w/o rings
        Included feather boards
        Included power switch
Built in jointing shims (may also be included in benchdog)
Metal construction (not sure if this is a plus)
        Possibly better dust collection
        A little cheaper

The Benchdog seems to win in these areas
        Smoother composite table
        Enclosed cabinet may be quieter
T-track miter slot vs straight miter slot

        Anything else to know?

        Thanks,
        Michael

It is a highly regarded table, and I think it is a really great deal. Having just picked up a WWII blade and a Fuji Mini-MIte 3 HVLP sprayer, also on great deals, I am going to have to keep my wallet locked up this time. Keep posting these geat deals - this is one of the best benefits of checking out

Thanks for posting about this. I got it for $132.08. It has got some favorable reviews on Amazon and a few on Woodnet. Plus it had a more than fair price considering what it was before.

I think that either one would be an excellent addition. I had actually pulled the trigger on the Bosch and then cancelled the order. My thought was that I could use a second table to reduce the number of bit changes required in raised panel doors, but then I talked myself out of it.
I like your analysis, but I think the Bench Dog would get the nod on dust collection with the enclosed base.

I have had the Bench Dog for a couple years and think that it is a great table.

There are no bench dog codes. The 15% and 10% were automatic when I checked them.
