Tenryu RS25540 from Holbren for $20 shipped!

    Bonafide bargain IMHO:

"I have a bunch of Tenryu RS25540 40 tooth ATAF blades I want to get rid of. The price is $20 delivered to your door. These are very nice blades that cut well and a great value at this price. They are also made at the Tenryu factory and not just rebranded product like a lot of what's out there. Here is a like to the Tenryu website for more info."

I've had this blade for about 3-years now. It was second to WWII in a Wood magazine for combo blades - it was slightly worse on the bottom side finish of thin ply ripping.

The one on sale seems to be little thicker than the WWII thin kerf and a little thinner than the full kerf? Is .118" a typical kerf? I guess it doesn't really matter. They DO make a wicked-thin (like .09x) blade, too. Anyone use one of those?

Are you sure it wasn't the $90 Tenryu Gold Medal that was compared to the WWII?

No it wasn't the Gold Medal it was the 40 tooth Rapid-Cut combo blade.

This discussion vaguely rings a bell....did I ask you that another time? (...losing my mind!)

Looks like it is $34.95 less 10%. Is there another hoop to jump through?

Read the entire thread here ... PM or Email Brian and he will advise you on how to pay for the blades.

The last message at woodnet said he wasn't taking anymore orders. I sent an email but have not recieved a response.

I think that was the RS25550 which has the raker tooth. I have 9 of them I'll sell off cheap if anyone wants one. I'm only posting it here unless they don't sell. They have thicker carbide too than the RS25540 if that's important to you.

Price would be $33 delivered to your door and PM me for paypal instructions or other means of payment.

                            Thanks

For anyone who's considering one....I have this blade too. It cuts a bit cleaner than the RS25540 in my experience and it's a bit more substantial. It's comparable to the Freud LU84 in design and performance, but I like it a little better....the feedrate is a bit faster and it might be a tad cleaner.
