Ok to play around on. Keep your expectations pretty low. It has a odd headstock threading and is prone to flex under pressure so you have to take it slow.I use mine as a drum sander more often than not and it is great at that.

Don't bother. The bed is stamped steel and anything but stable. Plus that model doesn't cost that much more new during the occasional sales.
