    HF closeout page

They have several things that are interesting inluding a 23g pin nailer or a 14.4 impact driver for $39.99 but whar caught my eye was this. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=32966

I am not saying it is good or bad but $399 for an 8" jointer?

That is a decent price and you can throw on a extra 15% off possibly with the coupon floating around. I have their 6" jointer which I picked up during a 20% off + $179 sale and I actually like it. It's my first jointer and I've learned plenty with it. After putting it together and playing with it I've just about decided that I'll replace it someday with a Grizzly 8", which seems better in almost every way, except for the price!

Check out this one as well, its not to far to central IN for you to pick up it comes in two crates, one for the base and a big long one for the bed you better have two big people to unload it. Mine seem to be ok the fence is a bit rougher than say a Jet or Powermatic but on par with anything at HF, My 13 moulder from Homier is another story the speed reducer to power the drive rollers is right out of " MadMax" so I guess there is a reason its half the price of the Jet or Grizzly one.

I think history would have been very much different if Leonardi DiVinci had a belt sander.

Do you have a link on the pin nailer? They had one that was normally around $69 that I actually saw a review on in a mag and it did pretty well. If that's the same one, $39 is not a bad price. Or, where's that close out page !

        Thanks

OK,found the page, that's not the same pin nailer.

There seems to be a few threads on Homier on the other sites recently. Your experience seems typical. I would not be suprised to see that it comes off the same lines as Jet or Grizzly, the company just has lower specification to keep pricing down. $300 is a great price and if you are local and you can verify that Homier has a decent warrenty (looks like 1 year), then why not? Make sure everything is flat and square and you should have no problems.

The 6" x 80" Edge Sander at $200 seems like a killer deal as well. It would be pretty hard to mess that up.

Edit: For you folks that are not local, when I went in and created an account to get shipping prices on the edge sander it seems that Homier has a lot of sales in other states.
