    Bosch 1617EVSPKE

Amazon and others are again showing the Bosch 1617 EVSPKE which includes the kit with the router. Also this is a newer model that offers above the table height adjustment. Several others are also showing it at the same price of $231 (-- seems to be some price collusion here). I haven't seen the kit offered lately and Amazon is also offering a $25 discount on tools over $199 for a net price of $206 on the Bosch. Seems like a very good price altho not as good as has been offered in the past. however I have not seen the kit offered in quite a while and I am inclined to grab it at this price.

The Craftsman equivilent is selling for over $200 w/o the kit and refurbished routers are going for $179 w/o the kit - don't know if the kit items can be purchased separately for a reasonable price.

Is anyone offering a better price out there? Should I wait or pull the trigger? Would certainly consider a Dewalt which is my close second choice if I could get the bushings and edge guide with the router for the same price as the Bosch.

Is this something to grab while it is available or is it likely that a better price will come along this Fall? Thanks for any help offered.

I didn't wait. I looked at the amazon price monitor site (can't remember the name), and the thing didn't show that that particular package was on sale anytime in the recent past... And I'm impatient.

Been watching the kit for a bit now, and I never saw that sale . I also looked at the Triton router (almost pushed the trigger), but a friend asked, what are the advantadges of multiple bases, and when I explained it to him, he just smirked back.......(DOH)
I need multiple bases so I can leave one in a jig, one in the table, and I wish they had a three base (d handle), it would be nice to have a third for free hand.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

As hard as it is to believe, this kit has been on sale for $150 - $160 several times over the past year.

Thanks for the links stormbringer. For a second there I started doubting that $145 was what I paid for the router kit.
